Breast augmentation in Kansas City is a surgical procedure that involves increasing the bust line through the use of saline breast implants. Women who choose to have breast augmentation surgery do so to improve their self-image or to bring balance to a breast that is somewhat smaller than the other. Often times it is used to restore a woman's natural breast volume that may have decreased as a result of pregnancy, weight loss or aging. The breast surgery usually last for 1-1/2 to 2 hours and the patient has the option of having the incision on the areola, armpit, or on the lower border of the breast. The patients are also given the option between round and anatomical "tear drop" implants.
Browlift surgery in Kansas is used to lift the eyebrows of patients who have inherited low set eyebrows, sagging eyebrows that give the appearance of excess upper eye lid skin, "crows feet" wrinkles lateral to your eyes, and forehead wrinkles. When a person ages, the skin loosens and sags (ptosis) around the body as well as around the eyebrows. This eyebrow ptosis not only causes a tired angry appearance itself but also causes the appearance of excess upper eyelid skin and "crows" feet wrinkles lateral to the eyes. The browlift procedure can be done with 4-5 small incisions hidden in your scalp and an endoscope is used to do the required surgery at the eyebrows.
Liposuction is one of the most commonly recommended procedures for men and women of normal weight whom simply want to improve their body contour, when diet and exercise don't seem to work. Liposuction can be used to slim the abdomen, hips, legs, face and neck. During the procedure, one or more small incisions are made near the area (usually in an inconspicuous area) to be suctioned. A hollow tube called a cannula is then placed through the incision where the underlying fat is vacuumed into the tube. A variation of the tumescent technique that uses infiltration of medications prior to the liposuction to decrease discomfort and bruising is usually used.
Tummy tucks are best suited for women with an abdominal wall that has been weakened by pregnancy and men who have loose abdominal skin and/or a significant amount of abdominal fat that won't respond to dieting or exercise. During the tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty procedure, a horizontal incision(depends largely on the amount of skin to be removed) is placed just within or above the pubic area. The underlying abdominal wall is tightened by placing sutures in the strong fascia of the abdominal wall if needed, and any excess skin and fat is trimmed away.
